We went to the El Cajon location for Veteran's Day 2019. My dad is a Veteran and wanted to have dinner this day. When we placed our name on the waiting list, the hostess made a special note about his veteran status. When we were seated, my dad was given a special menu for a free dinner meal. The hostess and server were genuinely kind! My dad and family had delicious appetizers, meals and dessert. It was a great experience for my dad and the whole family!

The food was great and the service even better!!

Understaffed for a holiday took 20 minutes just to get water before orders were placed. Waiter was nice but stressed.

The staff is very attentive and very amicable. We had the endless meal and our server got our orders ahead of time to keep it coming. Would recommend this location 100%. Really juicy riblets and great for the price.

We had appetizers and we chat and entree and it was absolutely delicious

I like this place very much. It has a very special mood. The meals are exeptionaly good. the service is effective and the team is very professional. The cost is fair. deeply recommend.

Seated quickly and they were accommodating as one in our party was in a wheelchair; no waiting. Drink and food orders taken quickly; did the 2 for $22. Got two decent plates of cesar salads and for the entries we got chicken tender plate and fiesta lime chicken. The fiesta lime chicken was quite good! For quick service Applebees is the place!

This place has extraordinary service as well as enjoyable food. One of my favourite spots in the area. The food served quick and the prices were fair. Recommended.

The stir fry was amazing and so was the service but the happy hour drinks were not house made all premix making them too sweet. They were more like poolside consistency.

We had a great time. I had a gift card, so my son and I went for lunch.Had a great server who was nice, and knowledgeable. She guided our ordering, and we were both happy with the foid we got.

Service was great. Only thing was the $20 steak I ordered look like a piece of carne asada. ( Supper thin). The portion went down and the price went up. Welcome to California I guess

Enjoying the best experience ever with my husband. We were seated by Abby, who was delightful! It was raining outside and she held the door open for us when we arrived and when we left. :) Our server Makayla is absolutely AMAZING!! She was outgoing, cheerful, & went out of her way to ensure we had a great evening out. The food was great! I have been bringing some of my favorite travel-size seasonings with me everywhere I go... and WOW!!!! It added so much excellent flavor to this already delicious meal! ☺️ The manager Kerri was very kind and ran the restaurant flawlessly! 10 stars ⭐️!!

We had the all you can eat Ribs and the shrimp. Well worth the money. Great service.

Looking for an Applebee's? Boom. It's an Applebee's. Can get busy sometimes, but I've never had bad service, staff is always great. Manager will walk around and check on people too. I normally sit at the bar, the bartenders are always a blast to chat with, and they can keep up a conversation even when they're busy. My favorite bartender is Jenny, she always has different crazy hairstyles and is awesome to chat with.

I had the Chicken Alfredo pasta and it was good. My server was nice and did his job well. Plus he seems to like his job. I will be back soon. It was strange the On the Border restaurant was gone. Its 100% demoed and gone. It was a dump anyway, so I'm glad its gone.

Food was good! Restaurant was dark tho and some people had to use flashlight on phones to look at menu

Curbside delivery was great. Food tastes good just the french fries need to be hot. Otherwise everything was hot, fresh and delicious!!!

Blackened Salmon was excellent ...however it's always disturbing to be brought a portion of soup and it not even full. THAT'S why I order a bowl. Absolutely no potato in the baked potato soup...just creamy base.

Awesome service and great food. Our server David was on top of things and very attentive. Will definitely be back soon.

This spot is excellent! Fair pricing, considerable dishes and the staff members are regularly super nice.

Crowded on Sunday night with Chargers football game on the many TVs that are in every room. Drink specials feature fruit concoctions for just $1. We had 9 people in our party celebrating our Mom's 85th birthday. Food was well priced and pretty tasty. Specials feature 2 entrees for$22 plus appetizer and sides. Service was very good and friendly. They brought out a little complimentary dessert and sang a quick tune for the birthday girl.

Good service,,, food average for this style of restaurant but the drinks are well made. Menu variety decent but could use a tune-up

Love the colorful bartender here. Would say this has been my favorite Applebees for whatever thats worth to you. They do have some great drink speacuals.

Quick Friendly server. Dinner tasted good andvit was not too expensive.

Lettuce was brown, steak was smaller then the Cole slaw tinny bowl, other people were complaining about frozen food, burnt steaks. A waitress avoided her tables and hung out with a guy from best buy until maneger came out of the back

The food wasn't hot enough. The egg on my burger was overcooked. The service was slow & the restaurant wasn't very busy. I would not recommend this particular applebees.

Food was ready the time it said it would be for pick up. It was perfect. Most times i have issues going to a place and asking for medium-rare. They would cook it too long.

Brought my mom here for her 65th birthday and our food was way over cooked. Despite the terrible food, the manager took care of us and removed from the bill. They can't get it right all the time but appreciate the compensation for the food.

Omg David S. The server is the BEST!!! Friday night this place is busyyyyyy!!!! And this guy takes care of us and 6 other large party tables like a champ !!!! All of the orders were on point and they were special orders and on top of the drinks! David S. Keep up the great work!!!

So Applebee's is awesome. New menu with new great filling cheap deals and very tasty. Our service was very good, my son's food was delicious, I shared, our food was also very good, all three ate for $68.95.

YO THE SHARK BOWL IS REALLY GOOD ALSO HAD FISH N CHIPS. APPLEBEES IS THE BEST. WE WENT DURING 25 CENTS WINGS

The monthly dollar drinks are a fun way to experiment & happy hour drinks & appetizers are great for getting together with friends.

Great place for drinks and to dine in the red hair bartender needs a lil work but over all good

Off to el cajon an a visit to Applebee's bar an grill. I met an old friend at Applebees- el cajon for lunch. I got there early so I got a table an waited till she got there. We both had a burger with a side. Burger was great! The only issue I had was the lighting in the restaursnt was very dim an it was hard to see my friend when we were talking. I asked our waitress if the lights could be turned up an she said unfortunately no. Next time I'll bring a flashlight! Other than that, we had a great time talking an eating out food. Stop by if you have a chance! Enjoy!!!

Maricela was very nice. Food was above average for Applebee's. I had the chicken and shrimp w/ mashed potatoes. Very solid dish. My wife had the sirloin. She always requests no seasoning as pepper is not her friend. Unfortunately, her strakbdid have a little pepper.

I went there for an interview, I waited for almost 40 minutes until I left because the interviewer didn't show up. It wasn't busy, there was at most 6 tables being served and 2 couples at the bar. Everyone was just standing around. I was offered a drink but I wasn't there to dine, I was clearly there for business.

This Applebee's is the best. The service is excellent and the staff are very personable. The manager is awesome.

Would definitely go here again. The prices are fare and the food was great.

Good food surprisingly and The Price is Right steaks were great service was good and the drinks were good I would recommend it great family atmosphere
